文章中看到兩句有問題:
1.In spite of being tempted to go out with friends and attend parties, those
who have self-control.
為何In spite of後面要加being tempted?
我的解釋是in spite of是連接詞，所以後面需要主詞，所以用Being當虛主詞
這樣對嗎?
2.Personally, doing things we don't care for builds character and helps us
mature.
怎會是 for builds 應該要寫成for building吧?

介系詞後要加名詞，Ving是動名詞，所以可以加。第二句的builds之前整塊是這個句子的主詞，builds和helps是句子的動詞

第1句有抄完整?

應該是沒有…

兩句都是動名詞的用法第一個是介係詞接動名第二個是動名當主詞其實就只是要注意連接詞後的是句子(主詞+動詞結構)但介係詞後是接名詞類
