問題一:
It was as if the only way any of us could be sure that my body was clear of
infection was for me to officially become a better person.
這段話我無法理解的是連續用了三個Be動詞
原本是想說
It was as if the only way [....] for me to officially become a better person
這樣看來似乎能理解這句再講甚麼
但在for me之前又多了個was
想請問版上強者能否解惑這段句子的正確意思Orz
問題二:

同段句子的 capital-C "closure"
完全看不懂這兩個字的意思@@??
是指...??? 資本主義的 closure ???

http://www.ldoceonline.com/dictionary/capital_2-> 4 ...http://www.ldoceonline.com/dictionary/closure-> 3 ...(美國文化裡頭常講closure, closure ...)至於他為何特地強調這字眼?他後文(Because ....)就是在解釋 光看標題就知道這篇本來就不是正經八百文,所以裡頭用了很多"informal styles"的寫法/口頭說法,這用於很情緒性的講他自己的事倒是很合適,沒什麼爛不爛的。多學些不同的styles的寫法(搭配各自合適的contexts)也是好的
