關於這篇文章的第2段，我有3個小問題想請教一下..
第2段的第1行：
請問"there once lived a man ~"，
有省略任何的助動詞have，had， ...，或什麼字嗎?! 大概是什麼意思呢?!
第2段的第4行：
1.這裡的used to 是"過去的習慣"的意思嗎?!
2."their relatives back home"，"back home"好像是副詞片語，
這裡是不是該改成"from home"?!

there once lived a man那裡曾經住了一個男人，名叫...used to 是"過去的習慣"的意思嗎?是

There once lived a man 是 presentational clause，類似於存在句， there 是沒有實質地點意義的主語，可以搭配地方狀語。與存在句的不同在於動詞選用的部份。如：[Behind him] there stood/was a bodyguard.
