The Role: As a Connectivity Software Engineer, you will be in charge of
integrating state-of-the-art connectivity technologies with Android-based
devices. In this role, you will:
Create innovative tools and infrastructures to ensure the highest level
of quality for the integrated connectivity solutions. Enjoy working side
by side with partners and colleagues to solve tough problems. Be
comfortable with proactive outward communication, and never shy away
from a challenge. Take great pride in innovating new products that will
be used by millions of users.
Basic Qualifications
6 to 10 years of hands-on software development
Expert in C/C++ or Java
Failure analysis and debugging skills
Master’s or higher degree
Working knowledge of one or more of the following:
a. Android’s framework layer,
b. Linux's networking stack,
c. networking interface
d. driver framework
Hands-on experience in developing, debugging and/or testing any of the
following: Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, IP networking, multimedia encoding
Efficiency in modern scripting languages (e.g., Python.)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Can travel domestically or internationally

Android framework engineer * 4 - 5
The Role: As a Software Development Engineer in the platform team,
you will design, develop and maintain innovative software features
shared by many advanced consumer products. You will take part in
the customization of the base Android pastries for the next generation
of devices. You will design ways to integrate complex software features
with Android in an easy to integrate, easy to maintain and easy to
upgrade manner. The ideal candidates have current and extensive experience
customizing Android to ship a differentiated product. They understand what
the limitations of the platform are, can design and implement additional
services or customize existing ones to meet the product requirements.
Basic Qualifications
Master’s degree
0-6 years of experience doing hands-on software development
2 years of experience working with Android frameworks and native layer.
Extensive knowledge of the Android framework on recent releases, especially
activity manager, window manager, view system, and Dalvik VM.
Understanding of embedded development constraints.
Strong debugging skills.
Strong coding skills in Java and C/C++.
Development experience on Android platform and devices
Deep expertise in one of the following areas: UI, graphics, multimedia,
performance optimization, system debug
Experience working on consumer electronics products.
Ability to occasional travel internationally.
