我試著造句，請教有哪裡需要修改或不通順的地方。
1.house 做動詞
This box houses a gift I will give my gf for a proposal.
2.of the time 造句
我感覺用的時機是在前面有提到過去的事，後面才可以用 of the time?
Although I don't have enough money to buy a fancy gift for my girl, I have the affection to her like the acient romantic poet of the time.

第一句ok , 文法有小錯誤This box houses a gift (which, that) I will give "to" my girlfriend for a proposal.which/that省略，但少了間接受詞前的介系詞 “to”原 po 這兩句造句是相連的上下文嗎“of the time” 是 “當代的” (for the time being)的意思, 除非文章脈絡是過去，才有“當時的” (at that time, back then)的意味但你的造句時間點是現在，語意和語用上不通，若依照原句無法使用 “of the time”, 頂多只能改寫成:Although I don't have enough money to buy a fancy gift for my girlfriend, my affection for/ towords her can only be rendered by romantic poets (/ in romantic poetry) in ancient times.如果原po 只是想用 “of the time”造句，不再侷限於girlfriend ，我的建議是改寫成:History refers to the social, economic, political and religious circumstances that existed inthe past, detailing events of the time (from which people of modern age draw lessons.)補充: Although I don't have enough money to buya fancy gift for my girlfriend, my affection for/towards her is comparable/ can be likened tothe poetry composed by romantic poets in ancient times.
