1. (5%) In Stren Gerlach experiment, neutral silver atoms pass through a region of inhomogeneous magnetic field. Why the experiment selects neutral silver atom?
2. (5%) The twin paradox arises because of the apparent symmetry of the situation. Is it right? How do you explain the twin paradox?
3. (10%) Figure 1 shows photographs of the diffraction pattern, the pattern shows a strong central maximum (bright spot) surrounded by secondary maxima of much lower intensity. Address what you observe in the Figure and explain the observations.
4. (10%) Figure 2 shows the reflection of light from a soapy water film spanning a vertical loop. Address what you observe in the Figure and explain the observations.
