Raptors’ Danny Green explains difference between Nick Nurse, Gregg Popovich
暴龍Danny Green解釋Nick Nurse跟Gregg Popovich兩者的不同處
San Antonio Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich is one of the most respected
coaches in the league, if not the most. Under his tutelage, several coaches
have blossomed and become great head coaches themselves. Doc Rivers, Mike
Budenholzer, and Brett Brown all worked under Popovich. Pop is known for his
championship pedigree and milking the most talent out of his personnel.
聖安東尼奧馬刺總教練Gregg Popovich是聯盟裡要嘛就是最佳教練，不然也是幾位最佳教
練之一。在他的指導下，其他幾位教練也在聯盟裡發光發熱。像是快艇Doc Rivers，公鹿
Mike Budenholzer，以及76人Brett Brown都在波總底下工作過。波總以他的冠軍體系聞
名，也以激發他的人員潛力著稱。
Toronto Raptors head coach Nick Nurse is on a different side of the spectrum.
He has only been an NBA head coach for one year. Granted, the one year he has
coached has been a respectable showing. Nurse led the Raptors to a 58-24
record, good for second place in the Eastern Conference this year.
多倫多暴龍總教練Nick Nurse則是一個完全相反的典型。他擔任總教練的資歷只有一年，
然而這一年的執教成果令人激賞。暴龍以58-24戰績在東區以第二種子打進季後賽。
Raptors guard Danny Green has had the pleasure of playing for both coaches.
When asked to compare the two coaching styles, he had an interesting response:

"Green was asked to compare/contrast Popovich & Nurse: "It's different. I
wouldn't say worse or better, but very different. Nick likes to see what
we're comfortable with, get our feedback, which I like a ton. Little
different with Pop.""
「Green被問到Popovich跟Nurse的差別：『兩個不一樣，我不會說誰比較好或比較差，但
是兩個人截然不同。Nick喜歡看到我們對甚麼做法比較舒服，想要知道我們的想法，像我

Pop is notoriously stubborn, but he has earned the right to be. He is
frequently seen yelling in his players’ ears, whether they be a veteran or a
rookie. If you make a mistake on the court, Popovich is not afraid to give
you an earful.
波總是有名的固執，但是他有資格這樣。他常被看到對著球員大吼，不管他們是老將還是
菜鳥。當球員在場上犯錯，他是不會客氣吼人的。
Nurse has more of a laid-back coaching style. He hasn’t earned the right to
publicly berate vets on the floor, and he takes a softer approach when it
comes to nailing home lessons.
Nurse則是比較輕鬆的教練，他還沒有資歷可以在場上對著老將直接幹譙，當想要球員學到
東西時，他會用比較柔軟的方式。
Obviously, Gregg Popovich is a surefire Hall of Famer, and Nurse is not on
his level yet. Leading the Raptors to a championship this year would help him
take a big step in the right direction.
當然，波總是鐵定會進名人堂的，Nurse還沒有到那個等級。若是Nurse今年可以率領暴龍
拿下冠軍的話，那Nurse就向波總等級跨一大步了。
