Paul Pogba unbelievable
Man City vs Man Utd saw Paul Pogba regain his world-class status with a
talismanic performance in the Premier League fixture.
David de Gea - 8
Had no chance with either goal and pulled off a decent stop to deny Bernardo
Silva at 0-0. Magnificent save from Sergio Aguero late on.
Antonio Valencia - 4
Left foot still poor. His risible clearance gifted City the corner from which
Vincent Kompany scored.
Chris Smalling - 6
Six years after he was outjumped by Kompany in a decisive derby it happened
again. Then he attained redemption by putting United ahead.
Eric Bailly - 6
The decision to rest him against Swansea last week looked an iffy one.
Overwhelmed by City's attack and regularly exposed. Best of the defence.
Ashley Young - 5
Raheem Sterling toyed with him early on and it was shaping up to be his
seasonal nadir. Improved after the break and worked hard.
Nemanja Matic - 5
City capitalised on his immobility time and again and he was not helped by
the haphazard Ander Herrera.
Ander Herrera - 6
The worst of a bad bunch in the first half. Positionally all over the place
and not perceptive when tracking City's midfielders. More disciplined in
second half.
Paul Pogba - 9
Didn't sink to the fathoms of his teammates in the first-half and his
second-half response was utterly emphatic. The Paul Pogba Team may be back.
Jesse Lingard - 5
Nigh-on anonymous until Pogba grabbed the game by the lapels and then Lingard
was more involved and started to worry City.
Alexis Sanchez - 7
Often overplayed it in the first 45 minutes but was instrumental behind
United's second-half revival.
Romelu Lukaku - 5
Chased shadows in a first-half where United had two touches in Ederson's area
but much more bullish after Pogba sparked the comeback.
Subs
Marcus Rashford - 5
Not enough time to impress
Scott McTominay - 5
Came on late
Victor Lindelof - N/A
Sent on in added time
