The Marlins have signed John Maine to a minor league contract with an
invitation to Spring Training, reports MLB.com's Joe Frisaro. The 31-year-old
right-hander posted a 4.97 ERA in 79 2/3 innings for the Yankees' Triple-A
affiliate last season. He hasn't appeared in the big leagues since 2010 with
the Mets.
