Lin doesn't trash talk. Swaggy probably telling them to since that's how he
stands up to Kobe. There are also players like Stockton who just don't say
anything back. Different ways of dealing with trash talkers (which is the
theme of the day I guess). I'd say Lin's mental issues are from confusion of
being aggressive, but being benched for it.

Jeremy Lin's problem has always been not being confident enough/wanting to be
first option. I think he got sick of the attention he was getting as
Linsanity and said he doesn't want to replicate that success. When players
like Melo/Harden/Kobe are playing alongside him he just wants to play pure
point guard and tries too much to cater to them. His strengths are driving to
the rim and passing/scoring, pick and roll, and creating shots for himself.
When he doesn't look to be aggressive then he's not a great playmaker. He
really needs to rediscover his love for the game and play to his strengths.
