◆ 0605GRE閱讀第一篇命中：Exposition：Galactic Cannibalism星系吞食

◆ 短文章：從海岸到海底的坡度如果只考慮重力的影響的話，應該有20度的坡度，
但是實際上大部分海岸都只有8度。而且還有海浪的侵蝕作用，也應該讓坡度更陡峭。
因此說明一定有另外的因素讓坡度變得平緩。(那個另外的因素叫什麼忘記了)
◆ 長文章：希臘Crete島上的歷史
第一段：有一個人寫關於希臘Crete島上的歷史。和別人不同，他在寫的時候區分了他參
考的來源是歷史還是神話傳說。他的書分為三冊，最後一冊是最近的事，來源是比較可
靠的歷史。前面兩冊有一些來源是神話傳說。
第二段：因此他的小說就置身於爭論中：一些人認為之前的荷馬史詩是真實發生的歷史
，另一些人認為並不是。
◆ 中文章：最近的研究認為Household是dynamic的單位。而以前考古學家並不這麼
認為，他們認為Household並不innovative(等同於dynamic)。考古學家這樣的觀點有
兩個原因：一是考古學家不能研究短期的東西，二是考古學家缺乏研究
material remains的理論模型。
◆ 短文章：某個學者發現地圖上Scandinavian settlement和鐵礦之間有相關性。
很多settlement都在鐵礦附近。但是有一個settlement附近並沒有鐵礦，
可能是因為那周圍有別的資源。
◆ 長文章：女性社會的結構的小說
第一段：Gilligan發現社會對成熟男性和對成熟女性的要求不同：成熟男性是參與戰爭
好鬥的，而成熟女性是協作和撫養後代。
第二段：一個作家寫的小說就描述了一個這樣的女性社會。不同於男性的金字塔社會結
構，這個女性社會的結構是網狀的，其中的人是互相協作關愛的。
第三段：這個作家在寫作中主要面臨的任務是：在沒有衝突(鬥爭)情節的情況下，也能
寫得有趣，吸引大家的注意力。
◆ 中文章：國家發起的戰爭的原因
第一段：有人認為某戰爭是competitive的，因為戰爭中殺了很多豬，掠奪了財富。
但是很多人指出，大部分該國家發起的戰爭都是reciprocal的。
第二段：這個爭論的主要原因是competitive和reciprocal的特點分界並不清晰。
◆ 短文章：國家A(具體哪個國家忘記了)是Hetherland，而國家B是grassland。
國家B是grassland是因為氮的污染和一種Beetle。氮的污染會導致Hetherland
，但是也會使Beetle大量繁殖，導致Hetherland枯萎，破壞了Hetherland和
grassland的平衡，導致grassland占主導。

新鮮的水果在成熟收穫後就會開始營養流失，冷凍會阻止這個過程。但是冷凍的
過程中，溫度下降也會分解營養。因此有人認為，新鮮的食物比冷凍的食物營養
更多。讓選一個選項削弱結論。參考答案：新鮮水果到銷售的時間比較長，而冷
凍過程很短。inference題，先說政府的政策不被大家支持。然後用了虛擬語氣，
說如果選舉時候的landslide不那麼conservative的話，就會用更多的人支持政府
政策。選項是根據現實和虛擬語氣相反，選了一個取反的。要證明自己說話不無
聊是self-defeating，因為說自己說話有趣本身就很無聊。問assumption。
