在書上看到一句
The tested samples suggested that the dinosaurs' body temperatures were
warmer than their surrondings would have been.
請問最後的would have been可以省略嗎？覺得好像沒必要

不建議省略，省略語意不精確；此處省略文法上並沒有錯，但就不是原本作者要表達的意思了，可以思考一下為什麼用 modal verb + have Vpp 不建議省略的原因，不贅述

是否因為，省綠就代表說他們的周圍有被測試但事實上周圍是沒有被測試，也就是說如果說我有被測試的話說出來的溫度會比較低
