為什麼不能用進行式？
It rains a lot in this city, but it isn't raining right now.
The sun is shining.(o)
The sun shines.(x)
為什麼不能用簡單式.表示太陽總是shine.不變的真理
是因為前文有說現在正在下雨的關係嗎？
Are you hearing a noise out the window?(x)
Do you hear a noise outside the window?(o)
後來查到hear不是動作.不能用進行式

The sun shines on ~ 就可以了。這句應是慣用語意的問題。而 while 用來描述某個動作期間，發生了什事。進行事到常見於 while 子句中。

1. 你的書那章開頭有講兩者用法區別。"While she is atthe park, she watches ..."這表達的是她的一般習性（不是某單一特定時刻正在做的單一事情） (... she is at thepark(想一下，然後搭配while整個看 這表達的不是「某一特定時刻(瞬間)事件」1. 要注意的是這是basic書，只是一個基本介紹，所以那題目句子也是延續開頭的"simple present"表示"habits..."等意思的用法。但是這不是"simple present"的唯一用法，所以先知道這簡單用法，但是不要誤以為這是唯一正解 / 其它用法一定錯。
