‘Intensity’, ‘aggression’ and ‘belief’ were just three of the words
used by Raheem Sterling to explain what went towards Chelsea earning a
deserved share of the spoils in a thrilling game against Manchester City at
Stamford Bridge on Sunday afternoon.

The game in the capital ended 4-4, with Cole Palmer netting an injury-time
penalty against his former side to ensure we earned the point our performance
more than deserved.

Also on target for the Blues were Thiago Silva – who became our oldest

‘We’ve played against one of the best, if not the best, teams from the past
seven or eight years and we’ve had a right go at them,’ Raheem said shortly
after the full-time whistle.

Sterling celebrates his goal against City
‘It was important we stood up to City because they’re a team if you sit off
them and show them too much respect, they can just easily pick you off and
punish you.

Sterling and Palmer are two players who have been used to winning silverware
while with the blue side of Manchester in recent years.

Now they are both wearing Chelsea blue, Sterling hopes they can add more
trophies to their collection and praised the maturity shown by Palmer to ‘
keep his cool’ in the dying moments to net the deciding penalty in front of
