Jiayu Li is an assistant professor in the Bioproducts and Biosystems
Engineering at University of Minnesota. Her group is recruiting two Ph.D.
students with full scholarship (fall 2020, spring/fall 2021). She did her
Ph.D. at Washington University in St. Louis, and she finished her postdoc at
Carnegie Mellon University. Her bachelor’s degree was earned at Tsinghua
University.
Research Bio:
She is interested in low-cost air quality sensors, including both particulate
matter (PM) sensors and gas (e.g., NO2, O3, CO, and VOC) sensors. Her work
steadily facilitates the application of low-cost air quality sensors for
pollution mapping and exposure estimation. She is also interested in
bioaerosol transmission procedure. She has evaluated several bioaerosol
samplers and deployed them for sampling airborne virus in the ICU.
