Sony公司已經將其延後到2015年上映 還未有確定的上映時間 但是2015年已經有不少大片
包括復仇者2 神鬼奇航5 星際大戰7 海底總動員續集 飢餓遊戲續集等等

Sony Pictures Pushes Animated POPEYE 3D Movie To 2015
According to Box Office Mojo, Sony Pictures has pushed back its animated
Popeye movie (which sees the iconic sailor man make his triumphant return to
the big screen, complete with 3D). Originally set for a September 26th, 2014
release date, the adaptation will now hit theaters in an already crowded
2015. No specific date has been announced yet, but 2015 has plenty of
competition in the form of The Avengers 2, Pirates Of The Caribbean 5, Star
Wars: Episode VII, Finding Dory, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2, and
many more big films. Popeye will be directed by Genndy Tartakovsky (who most
recently helmed Hotel Transylvania for Sony Animation). Screenwriters Jay
Scherick and David Ronn (The Smurfs) were hired to pen the script last year.
