印尼布吉族（Bugis）遵循神話「加利哥」的世界觀，認為性別分為五類，其中本片關注
的帢拉萊（Calalai）即以男性身份生活的生理女性。隨著外來文化及伊斯蘭教的傳入，
其多元的性別視角受到威脅。影片以當地傳統吟唱，娓娓道出布吉族的文化。
A story about women in South Sulawesi, Indonesia, belonging to the Bugis
culture, an exception in the modern world ruled by a binary gender system.
The Bugis people have accepted gender diversity as codified in their La
Galigo manuscript. They believe that humankind consists of five genders, and
that one of them is calalai. Who are the calalai?
