現年28歲的美國同志創作歌手瑞寶（Wrabel），長年支持與關注LGBT議題，在今年五月發
行的EP《We Could Be Beautiful》當中，不論是〈Bloodstain 血跡斑斑〉或〈11 Block
s〉皆在美國LGBT社群中引起迴響，其中〈11 Blocks 十一個街口〉更是受到惡女凱莎（K
esha）的極力推薦，在社群媒體以長文讚頌瑞寶（Wrabel）的獨特才華與歌曲中深刻的情
感。
隨著日前美國新任總統川普（Donald Trump）推翻過去歐巴馬（Barack Obama）致力替跨
性別族群爭取不被歧視的權利等人權政策，川普表態變性人會花費太多國家醫療資源，因
此將禁止變性人服役。此舉引發包含演藝圈眾巨星在內的各界不滿及反彈聲浪，紛紛以「
#TransRightsAreHumanRights」的Hashtag在社交媒體平台宣示跨性別族群也有權利去追
求任何他們想要的權力及榮耀，瑞寶（Wrabel）在上週五公開了這首新歌《The Village
》，向川普表達自己對於新政策的不滿。

（註釋：「village」字面意思為「村莊、部落、小鎮」，在此我延伸翻譯為「社會」，
這個新的慣用語出自非洲國家奈及利亞衣格布及尤魯巴族。其他族群也有類似說法。在原
始的社會，一個村莊一個部落，一個部落即是一個大家族，三四輩同堂是傳統。兒童被視
為上蒼給予整個部落的禮物，受祖父母，叔伯等親人照顧是常有的事。
因此有“One knee does not bring up a child”（單靠一個膝蓋無法養大一個小孩），
“One hand does not nurse a child”（單隻手無法照顧幼兒）這些說法。
把這種說法轉化到英文的，要歸功於希拉蕊克林頓。
1996年她出版了一本書名叫“It Takes a Village”，強調家庭教育的價值，引起世人的
注意。
It takes a village只是前半句，要加to raise a child才完整，但如電視對白所述，通
常只需說半句，就懂得他要表達的內涵了。）
搭配歌詞意境的音樂錄影帶也在今天公開上架，感動人心的劇情扣人心弦，相信在成長過
程中有相同經驗的人也會非常有共鳴感。
誰都沒有任何權利阻撓別人幸福的機會，也沒有任何理由歧視別人的存在。
