Gold smashes through $3,900/oz to notch record high
(Reuters) - Gold surged past $3,900 an ounce for the first time in early Asian
trade on Monday, as safe-haven demand from a U.S. government shutdown added
to the momentum from expectations of more Federal Reserve rate cuts.
Spot gold gained 0.6% to $3,910.09 per ounce by 23:53 GMT on Sunday, while U.S
. gold futures for December delivery gained 0.7% to $3,935.

（路透社）——週一亞洲早盤，黃金價格首次突破每盎司 3,900 美元，主要受到美國政
府關門引發的避險需求推動，加上市場預期聯準會（Fed）將進一步降息，使得黃金漲勢
