(1) @Yankees: Prior to tonight’s game, the Yankees made the following roster
moves:
‧ Designated RHP Carlos Carrasco for assignment.
‧ Recalled RHP Yerry de los Santos (#73) from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes Barre.
Additionally, the Yankees transferred the rehab assignment of INF DJ LeMahieu
from Double-A Somerset to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. Also, RHP Scott
Effross commences a rehab assignment with the FCL Yankees.
(2) @BryanHoch: With Carlos Carrasco having been designated for assignment,
Aaron Boone mentioned Ryan Yarbrough and Allan Winans among the rotation
choices. He also is leaving open the possibility that Carrasco could return.
(3) @BryanHoch: DJ LeMahieu is with the @swbrailriders and will play tonight
and tomorrow, weather permitting. The Yankees are considering activating him
for the West Coast trip.
(4) @BryanHoch: The Yankees aren't ruling out Giancarlo Stanton being ready
when he's eligible to come off the 60-day IL later this month. Aaron Boone said
his rehab will look different than most since they don't need to get him ready
to play the field.
(5) @ktsharp: Yankees now have 5 losses when leading in the 8th inning or later
this season.
That's the most in MLB.
