moves:
‧ Reinstated LHP Carlos Rodón (#55) from the 15-day injured list.
‧ Recalled INF Oswald Peraza (#91) and OF Everson Pereira (#80) from
Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
‧ Designated OF Greg Allen for assignment.
‧ Placed OF Billy McKinney on the 10-day injured list (retroactive to 8/21)
with left lower back spasm.
(2) @Yankees: Following today’s game, the Yankees optioned RHP Greg Weissert
to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
(3) @TalkinYanks: The Yankees will start three players born in the 2000s for
the first time in franchise history tonight
(4) @JackCurry: As expected, Boone said Pereira and Peraza will play regularly.
Look for Pereira to mostly plat LF. Peraza will see a lot of time at 3B, but
he could get some starts at 2B and SS.
(5) @GaryHPhillips: Aaron Boone said that Anthony Rizzo will be reevaluated in
7-10 days. He's been doing more baseball activities lately.
(6) @BrendanKutyNJ: Boone added that catcher Austin Wells “is on the radar”
