Wembanyama said the timing of his return had nothing to do with the Spurs
having a chance to advance to the NBA Cup Championship.

"It would have been a mistake to come back earlier," he said. "So it just
happens that I'm coming back in this game in Vegas here. But every single
game, I was pushing."

The Spurs stand to earn $212,373 per player if they reach the championship
game and an additional $530,933 should they win the Cup. But Wembanyama said
money didn't factor into the timing of his return either.
如果打進冠軍賽，每位馬刺球員可以拿到21萬2373鎂；若拿到季中杯冠軍，可以再拿
53萬933鎂。但是斑馬說獎金不是他回歸的考量因素：
"Poor Vic needs more money, right? ... Just stacking money hasn't been any
goal of mine in my life," he said.
