When I arrived, I saw separation. I came from a contending team with the Celti
cs, where everybody was united. I got there, and they had three separate group
s. This group didn’t vibe with KD, and KD didn’t vibe with this group. There
was so much tension that when we went on road trips, KD brought his boys beca
use nobody on the team would go. I’m like, “We can’t win like this.” I sta
rted a group text: “KD, you’re a Redskins fan. Russ, you’re a Cowboys fan.
I’m a Cowboys fan. We’re going to talk about the football games in this grou
p message.” We actually went to a game together in Dallas, on a private jet,
where the Redskins played the Cowboys in a suite.
