The NBA trade deadline was a wild one with a number of big trades, including
multiple All-Stars getting moved. The Luka Dontrade to the Los Angeles
Lakers of course affected NBA title odds, but even the Lakers aren’t viewed
as a top-tier contender. Did any of the trades that came after, such as Jimmy
Butler’s deal to Golden State, move the needle?

The short answer is no. The Boston Celtics and Oklahoma City Thunder are
still the co-favorites to win the NBA title. Both teams have +225 odds on
BetMGM. The Thunder have the best record in the NBA at 40-9 entering Friday
and are six games ahead of Memphis in the Western Conference standings. The
Celtics don’t have the top spot in the East and are 5.5 games behind the
Cleveland Cavaliers, but Boston is still the defending champion. The 41-10
Cavs are third in the odds at +800.

odds to win the NBA title.
