Since the league began tracking unassisted 3-point shots in 2013-14, Stephen Cur
ry has emerged as an outlier in the category. Between 2013-14 and 2022-23, Curry
made 1,192 unassisted triples – only James Harden and Damian Lillard converted
more, but as great as those shooters are, they can’t touch Curry’s efficiency
on these self-created 3-point tries, nobody can. Among the top 100 most active
unassisted 3-point shooters in this timeframe, Curry was the only player to make
more than 40% of his attempts – the league average was 32.3%. One big reason w
hy Curry is the most prolific 3-point scorer in the history of the NBA is his ab
