ork Knicks. Porzingis and the Dallas Mavericks were in Madison Square Garden o
n Friday night, and the home fans in attendance made sure to let their feelings
about the 7-foot-3 big man known.

The last time Porzingis dawned on a Knicks jersey was in 2019. This was before N
ew York sent him to the Mavs (along with Tim Hardaway Jr., Trey Burke, and Court
ney Lee) as part of a blockbuster deal that saw DeAndre Jordan, Wesley Matthews
, Dennis Smith Jr., and two future first-round picks heading in the direction of
the Knicks. Porzingis was not happy in New York and the Knicks organization and
was vocal about leaving the team. Dave Fizdale who was the head coach for the K
nicks during his tenure said that Porzingis left the organization with no other
option than to move him. For what it’s worth, one of those future first-rounder
s is for the upcoming 2021 NBA Draft so that’s something to keep an eye on.
