The Clippers are not an exciting team. That’s the truth and never got
dispelled.

Both teams are teams that got relocated to LA, Lakers from Minneapolis (from
the city of Thousand Lakes, hence why they’re called the Lakers) and
Clippers from San Diego (because of the boats marine in the San Diego area).
So it’s not like they were original teams and most people don’t associated
the team from the past origins.

several botched attempts in trying to lure the crowds to their game. First,
they settled in to LA Sports arena, which was pretty run down. The Lakers
played in a much nicer and exciting place called “The Fabulous Forum”. It
also helped that parking was easier to find in the Forum versus the nightmare
going to downtown LA for that meaningless Clippers game.

the 90s to the turn of the century, to TNT/ESPN/ABC, the Clippers in the old
days to now are hardly ever featured.
