test free agency.

In a report by Chris Sheridan of BasketballNews.com, a source revealed that
Rondo will exercise the player option of his contract to test out the
free-agent market. His player option is worth $2.96 million for the 2020-21
season.

Even if Rondo opts out of his contract, the guard can still sign with the

Rondo appeared on Tuesday on ESPN’s “First Take” where he shared his plans
in the offseason, particularly on his contract. The 34-year-old said that he
would love to re-sign with the Lakers. But he also wants to see what’s out
there.
