responders

Taking a cue from Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban, Mavs players reportedly
pledged to provide meals every day for coronavirus frontliners posted in the
Dallas area.

Per Dallas Morning News reporter Brad Townsend, the team has agreed to take
turns each day in providing meals for these modern-day heroes, as they
continue to risk their health and safety amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

purchasing 115 dinners from a locally-owned restaurant on Saturday, which was
then given to the first responders at the mobile testing site and Dallas
emergency ops center.

around the world. Mark Cuban was the first owner to think about the plight of
the team’s arena workers who were paid by the day.

Shortly after the NBA announced its suspension of the 2019-20 campaign, Cuban

franchise owners and even players followed Cuban’s initiative and did right
by their people.
