ESPN 和 ABC 都翻出了在2015年 Kobe 一段受訪的影片，
片中問到：他希望自己是怎麼被人認為，怎麼被人銘記的：
"I’ve always said that I wanted to be remembered as a player that didn’t
waste a moment. Didn’t waste a day."
我總是說，我想要被人銘記的方式，
是作為一個籃球員，我從未浪費過任何一個時刻，從未蹉跎過任何一天。
"I felt extremely blessed with a god-given talent. At the same time, I didn’t
take it for granted at all."
我感覺到十分的幸運，我有著天賜的才能。
而於此同時，我完全不將其視作是理所當然的。
"So if I could be remembered as a person with a lot of talent, but did
everything he could to overachieve and lived every day like if he’s was the
12th guy on the bench."
所以，如果我可以被這樣銘記：
一個擁有諸多天賦的人，但他做任何事情都盡自己一切所能，去達成比預計更好的成果，
每一天，都過得像自己是是板凳上第十二順位的球員一樣。
"I think that is a very powerful message to have and something that hopeful
the hopefully the players that are here now and those that come later will
choose to embody as well."
