Pelicans medical staff told Anthony Davis to leave stadium to get MRI after
checking his shoulder

New Orleans Pelicans interim general manager Danny Ferry met with local
reporters on Thursday, and he cleared up the situation on superstar big man
Anthony Davis leaving the arena early last week against the Oklahoma City
Thunder.

Ferry says the Pelicans’ medical staff told Davis to go get an MRI after
checking his shoulder out. AD hurt his left shoulder in the first half
against the Thunder and was seen leaving the arena with agent Rich Paul.

Head coach Alvin Gentry didn’t know Davis left the stadium when he was
speaking to reporters postgame, although he found out after he left the media
when he saw a text message from Davis.

frustrated.

Davis’ shoulder is feeling better. He played in the 2019 All-Star game and
will play on Friday versus the Indiana Pacers. The All-Star will not play his
usual minutes, though.
