Well, it seems Clippers center DeAndre Jordan is really missing Chris Paul rig
ht about now.
The Los Angeles Clippers and Houston Rockets have been on the tips of every NB
A fan’s tongues over the past few days, with everything from ejections and tr
ash talking during the game, to confrontations in the locker room. And now, we
can add trade rumors into the mix, all within the space of two days.
CP3 must’ve done a pretty good job when he, Trevor Ariza, James Harden and Ge
rald Green all rocked up to the Clippers’ locker room after their loss to the
Clips on Monday night, as DeAndre Jordan — Paul’s lob city partner — now r
eportedly wants a trade to Houston.
Jordan has been in trade rumors ever since the season started, being linked to
several teams, including the Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Lakers, but a mov
e to Houston may make the most sense for DJ’s career.
Not only did Jordan have some of the best years of his career with Chris Paul
running the show in LA, DeAndre actually comes from the Houston area, and also
played college ball at Texas A&M.
It’s not to say that a deal between the Clippers and Rockets is now already a
foregone conclusion, but it does add another team in the mix in contention to
trade for the All-Star center, who is currently averaging 11.8 points and 1.0
blocks a game, as well as leading the league in rebounding with 14.9 a contes
t.
With everything that has happened between these two teams this week alone, it
’ll be interesting to see how the Clippers front office handle the rumors, as
you can be sure Blake Griffin and the rest of the LA locker room won’t be ha
ppy with Jordan if the rumors are indeed true.
