Jazz's Hill won't play Game 2 vs. Warriors due to sore big toe
The Utah Jazz will be without one of their top players Thursday night as they
look to rebound from a Game 1 loss to the powerhouse Golden State Warriors.
Guard George Hill has been ruled out for Game 2 at Oracle Arena as a result of
soreness in his left big toe.
The 31-year-old scored seven points on 3-of-9 shooting in 27 minutes of action
Tuesday. He also chipped in four rebounds and three assists in the 12-point l
oss.
Either Shelvin Mack or Dante Exum will likely get the start in Hill's stead.
"It's a big one. It's something he's been fighting all year," Jazz head coach
Quin Snyder said of Hill's injury, according to the Deseret News' Jody Genessy
. "It's been sore. He's been playing through it."
Utah went 18-15 during the regular season when Hill wasn't in uniform.
He's averaged 15.6 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 3.6 assists running the point for
the Jazz over eight playoff games thus far.
