Blazers center Festus Ezeli to undergo knee surgery
PORTLAND, Ore. – Trail Blazers center Festus Ezeli is expected to undergo
surgery next week on his left knee, it was announced today by president of
basketball operations Neil Olshey.
While the exact surgery date is pending, it will be performed by Dr. Robert
LaPrade at the Steadman Clinic in Vail, Colorado.
Ezeli will be out for the remainder of the 2016-17 season.

今年賽季已經確定是報銷了，預計由Robert LaPrade醫師執刀
另外根據ESPN的相關報導指出，本次手術過程中將使用到遺體的器官捐贈(cadaver donor)
再加上Ezeli的身材相當壯碩，擁有6呎11吋的身高
因此要找尋合適的捐贈者並不容易，花費了數個月的時間才終於找到
恢復期可能要長達一年的時間
過去似乎沒有NBA的球員經歷過這種非常規的手術
而NFL紅雀隊四分衛Carson Palmer就透過這個手術從韌帶撕裂(ACL+MCL)的大傷中重新復出
37歲的他至今仍活躍在美式足球的賽場上
Festus Ezeli 在去年休季期間與拓荒者簽下兩年15.2M的合約
後來因傷缺席季前訓練營和熱身賽，最後甚至連例行賽都完全不能上場
先前還在勇士隊時期，Ezeli兩腳的膝蓋都曾經有開過刀的紀錄
