Kings won't deal DeMarcus Cousins before Feb. 23 deadline, Divac says
In his strongest public statement to date on the subject, Sacramento Kings
general manager Vlade Divac told ESPN on Monday that All-Star center DeMarcus
Cousins is going nowhere before the Feb. 23 trade deadline.
Amid recent reports that the Kings had engaged the Phoenix Suns in talks
involving Cousins, as well as suggestions that some in the organization were
advocating a trade, Divac insisted by phone that any such speculation was
untrue.

除此之外，對於先前傳出國王隊與太陽隊之間的交易流言
根據arizonasports.com的報導指出，
太陽隊提出 T.J. Warren, Alex Len 以及未來的首輪籤來像國王換取 Cousins。
不過，Divac 表示這個完全不是事實
而且DeMarcus Cousins與他的經紀人已經與國王隊高層會面
明確告訴他將是球隊的非賣品，並且希望Cousins忽略媒體任何關於自己的交易傳言
另外，ESPN在一月初報導國王隊將等到今年七月份新的CBA生效以後
預計會開給Cousins五年約2億1900萬美金的頂薪合約
Divac 則是說他們將繼續朝這個方向來努力
儘管加入國王隊六個球季以來，至今仍然沒有嘗過晉級過季後賽的滋味
目前戰績20勝31敗，暫居西區第11位
Cousins 今年球季也曾經多次表達他願意繼續留在國王隊效力
本季場均貢獻 28.1分 10.6籃板 4.7助攻，也再度入選了明星賽
