Fresh off of winning a championship in his first season, Tyronn Lue is ready
for a contract extension.

Lue and the Cleveland Cavaliers are currently in the midst of negotiating a
contract extension, according to Chris Haynes and Joe Vardon of Cleveland.com.

Lue took over the Cavaliers in late January after David Blatt was
controversially fired. Blatt had guided the Cavaliers to the NBA Finals the
previous year and had led them to a 30-11 record through the first 41 games
of the 2015-16 season. General manager David Griffin stated the move was made
because he felt Lue was a better fit to lead the team rather than Blatt.
