老巴Charles Barkley近期在美國運動電台上表示他希望Kobe這季打完後就退休。
“I hope he retires. I probably played two years too long. I hate to see
Patrick Ewing, as great as he was, struggle. I don't like seeing great players
just out there, you know. Michael Jordan playing for the Wizards, that didn't
do anything for me.”
他認為自己應該早兩年退休，他表示他不喜歡看傳奇球星待在球場上什麼都做不了。
看到偉大的Patrick Ewing在場上掙扎他很難過，對他而言待在巫師期間的
Michael Jordan什麼都沒完成。
“Kobe's obviously not going to walk away from $30 million. This should be
like a farewell tour, play 20, 25 minutes a night. The Lakers aren't going to
make the playoffs. Could he play some more? Yeah, of course. His best days
are behind him.”
「Kobe當然不可能不拿他的3000萬年薪。反正湖人這季也進不了季後賽，Kobe應該把這季
當作一個退休之旅，每場比賽打個20-25分鐘就好。他當然還可以繼續打球，不過他的
巔峰期已經過了。」
“I hear these fools on TV talking about Kobe is going to get healthy. Old
people don't get healthy, they die. Fathertime is undefeated. You can get in
great shape in the summer becuase you're playing against air; air doesn't hit
back.”
他對那些認為Kobe這季會變健康的傻瓜們說「老球員不會變健康，他們的身體狀況只會
越來越差，只會死，時間是不敗的。」
「暑假休賽季的時候老球員可以把自己的體能調整的很好單純是因為你是對空氣
打球，空氣不會撞你。」
