The Dallas Mavericks are considered front-runners to sign Amar'e Stoudemire
if he becomes available in a contract buyout with the New York Knicks,
according to sources.

The Mavericks are keen to sign Stoudemire as well as Jermaine O'Neal. They
are prepared to make roster moves to accommodate signing both players should
they become available.

Stoudemire has said he will use the NBA All-Star break to decide whether to
