LaMarcus Aldridge (left thumb) will have surgery on his radial collateral
ligament tear and will be out 6-8 weeks.
The Blazers are in deep trouble. Aldridge is sixth in the NBA for points per
game and 11th in the rebounds per game. He's also third in the NBA in field
goal attempts per game, so coach Terry Stotts is going to have to go back to
the drawing board on how to get his other guys shots. It'll be a mixture of
guys because Stotts loves to play the matchups. Dorell Wright benefitted the
most on Wednesday, but players such as Thomas Robinson, Meyers Leonard,
Victor Claver and Chris Kaman will also have to help out more. Of course, the
trio of Damian Lillard, Wes Matthews and Nicolas Batum will also have to step
up. Owners in standard leagues can think about grabbing Wright, but he is
going to be inconsistent.
