Kobe Bryant became the third all-time leading scorer in NBA history tonight,
passing Michael Jordan with a pair of free throws against the Timberwolves.
The game was stopped as players and coaches from both squads congratulated
Bryant on the milestone.
With 32,293 points (and counting) he now trails only Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and
Karl Malone (38,387 and 36,928) respectively.
Michael Jordan just released a statement.
“I congratulate Kobe on reaching this milestone. He’s obviously a great
player, with a strong work ethic and has an equally strong passion for the
game of basketball. I’ve enjoyed watching his game evolve over the years,
and I look forward to seeing what he accomplishes next.”
