Lakers express interest in Iman Shumpert deal
The Lakers recently called the Knicks to "express their interest" in trading
for Iman Shumpert, according to ESPN's Chris Broussard.

The call was described as "due diligence" since the Knicks are known to be
shopping Shumpert, though previous reports suggest they'd like to package him
with Amare Stoudemire in any deal. Broussard reports that L.A. is also
considering making a separate offer in which they'd send Pau Gasol in exchange
for Tyson Chandler, and we'll let you know if these trade scenarios turn into
anything substantial.
