在籃網官方介紹新員的新聞發布會結束之後， Paul Pierce又接受了布魯克林當地媒
體WFAN的採訪，期間 Pierce回憶起了剛剛得知被交易時與 Kevin Garnett的電話通話。
Pierce on phone call to KG: "It was one long, long phone call.
Probably like an hour and a half, two hours. I just remember I was standing
outside and it was 100 degrees outside, and I just remember after the phone
call I was dripping sweat."
「那是一通很長，很長的電話，差不多有一個半小時到兩個小時吧。
我只記得我那時是站在外面的，當時的氣溫有100℉（相當於37.78℃），
而當我們談完之後，我的衣服已經濕透了。」 Pierce回憶道。
Pierce on KG's initial thoughts on going to Brooklyn: "He was kinda like,
'What?' I was like, 'Do you understand what's going on in Boston?
The Clippers thing appears to be dead. So what do you think, big fella?
I know you don't want to retire. I KNOW you don't want to retire.
You have too much in the tank, you love the game too much. Sometimes you
just have to tell Kevin sit back and think about it. He reacts to everything.
Like his initial reaction to everything is, 'No.' [If you said,] 'Kevin I got
a $100 million,' [he'd say,] 'No.' Then he has to sit back and think about it
and then once he warms up to it, he makes his decision, and that's about
anything. I knew his initial reaction was going to be against it, but I knew
this was going to be a long conversation."
KG得知（被交易到）去布魯克林時的反應，Pierce說：「他就像是，『什麼？』
我說，『你知道波士頓將要做什麼嗎？加盟快艇好像是不可能了，所以你怎麼想啊？
我知道你不想退休，我真的知道你不想退休。你還有很多能量呢，

Pierce on return to Boston: "I have already pictured it in my head probably
about 100,000 times. And every time I picture it, I shed tears."
談到日後是否會再重返波士頓，Pierce：「我已經在自己的腦海裡想像了不下十萬次
這樣的場景了，而每一次我這樣想時，我的眼淚都會止不住的流。」
Pierce said he wants to be a GM someday. And if he was offered same deal
Danny Ainge got from Brooklyn, he said he would have taken it.
Pierce同時表示自己將來也想成為一支球隊的ＧＭ，而且如果當他也面臨像
Danny Ainge所處的形勢時，他說他自己也會做這樣一筆交易的。
