Update: Metta World Peace staying w/ Lakers
Updating a previous item, Metta World peace will not opt out of his contract
with the Lakers.

Just as we expected. The Lakers could potentially use the amnesty clause on
World Peace's contract, but it makes little sense to do so considering how far
over the salary cap the team is and there is no replacement for World Peace's
defense on the roster. On a team with Mike D'Antoni as head coach and as the
roster is constructed currently, an overpaid World Peace is a necessity.
