At lv.30 Smolder starts ignoring 60% max armor and his mana is reduced by 10.
This is such a big spike that pro players are SAVING as many Power Up Removers t
hey can until stage 4.
This because they attempt to hardforce the 'Rare Treat' power up that grants +15
immediate levels.
You MUST hit Level 30.
REMEMBER this only appears AFTER stage 3-7.
After you hit Lv. 30 Smolder you need to swap Power Ups again.
Rare Treat's value is in hitting lv 30 and is a subpar power up outside of that.
The best power up by far is 'Efficient'
This further reduces his mana pool allowing for more fireballs.
IF YOU ARE CONTESTED STILL
you can do a small trick...
Each monster has it's own pool meaning you can 3* each monster.
However the pool you take from will always be the one you've earned the most exp
with.
So you can instead play Kog for about 10-15 levels before swapping to Smolder. T
hat way until you gain more exp than that with Smolder you will be pulling from
the Kog pull instead of the Smolder pool.
Kog'maw can hold Rageblade, Shojin and Flail just fine.
He holds up in the early-mid game but you must switch to Smolder as he is one of
the worst units late game.
KOG MAW IS NOT A COMP.
