Energetic enough but never got going with Anthony Martial down the left and
might not be put on any more corners.

Improved - how could he not after Palace? Got booked and at times was far too
slow on the ball to instigate United attacks.

Cumbersome and clumsy. Flagged offside so often he could have been Filippo
Inzaghi in disguise and did not supplement the attack well. Then salvaged his
night.

Initially improved the midfield and the attack with his urgency and one or
two-touch football. Faded as anxiety crept in.
Jesse Lingard - 5
Reiterated that he should be used in a central role. His movement and
telepathy with Marcus Rashford threatened regularly. Substituted.
Anthony Martial - 3
Looked curiously out of sorts since the international break. Made some
puerile decisions in the final third and was too predictable.
Marcus Rashford - 5 (finishing.........
His movement was an upgrade on Romelu Lukaku and he was urgent. But his
decision-making was awry and he just is not clinical enough.
