One more note on ESPN — as I reported last week, we’re getting closer and clos
er to an MLB deal for its TV rights. Here’s where we stand.
ESPN is in talks to license (not acquire) MLB.TV, the league’s out-of-market st
reaming service. It will be interesting to see how ESPN decides to bundle MLB.TV
with its new direct-to-consumer service, assuming the deal gets done.

ESPN also wants the in-market rights to five teams (the Arizona Diamondbacks, Cl
