Dodgers pitcher Hyun-Jin Ryu left Friday night's series opener against the
Giants after one inning because of left shoulder irritation he said was "very
similar" to an injury that put him on the disabled list in May.
Ryu, out 3 1/2 weeks that first time, wouldn't speculate whether he could
make his next start Wednesday in Colorado until he is examined Saturday by
Dr. Neal ElAttrache. Manager Don Mattingly said Carlos Frias would start at
Coors Field if Ryu could not.
