Drew Pomeranz broke his hand punching a chair
Oakland has placed left-hander Drew Pomeranz on the disabled list with a
fractured right (non-pitching) hand, putting on hold what had been a nice
season for the former top prospect who’d previously struggled in the majors
with the Rockies.
UPDATE: It turns out that Pomeranz broke his non-pitching hand when he
punched a wooden chair in the clubhouse following his rough outing. At least
he didn’t use his pitching hand, I guess.
