Inge to compete for Tigers' second base job
Tigers' manager Jim Leyland said Thursday that Brandon Inge will get a chance
to compete for the starting second base job during spring training.
Leyland apparently wants to clinch having the worst infield defense of
all-time. While Inge is known as a strong defender at the hot corner, he has
never played an inning at second base during his entire professional career.
The odds are against the 34-year-old making a smooth transition, but he'll
apparently be thrown into the mix with Ryan Raburn, Ramon Santiago and Danny
Worth.
Leyland 明顯的想要改善一直很讓人詬病的內野防守(大酸)
眾所周知,應舉雖然防守非常好,但加入MLB以來沒有任何一局守過二壘
