Within a mostly comedic video interview with OGN PLUS, Faker shed some light
on why he decided to stay with SK Telecom T1 for the 2017 Season.
Following a surprise greeting from guest interviewer Cpt. Jack, Faker started
answering questions about his decision making over the offseason. Affirming
he indeed was approached by many foreign teams, the midlaner revealed: "I
decided it would be better for me to stay in Korea after seeing the terms of
[SKT's] contract offer."
He continued: "Some people said that I'm staying because I like Korean food,
or that I don't want to bother learning Chinese, but to be honest, none of
those influenced my decision. The terms of the contract were what convinced
me to stay."
